Animation Educator’s Forum Announces 2024-25 Student Scholarship Recipients

The 11 honorees from the United States, Spain, France and Australia - 3 graduates and 8 undergraduates - will receive an evenly distributed prize of $44,000.

ASIFA-Hollywood’s Animation Educators Forum (AEF) has announced its scholarship recipients for the academic year 2024-25. 11 students were selected out of 120 applications: three graduates and eight undergraduates from the United States, Spain, France and Australia.

The total scholarship funds of $44,000 will be distributed evenly amongst the recipients to cover costs for necessary software and hardware; creative and academic research; and tuition.

The AEF scholarships are merit-based and designed to support college students in their animation education. Each individual student’s written proposals, letters of recommendation from faculty, and demo reel/still art were taken into consideration as part of the selection process.

ASIFA-Hollywood is the world’s foremost professional organization dedicated to promoting the Art of Animation and its creators. Current chapter initiatives include the Animation Archive, Animation Aid Foundation, Animation Educators’ Forum (AEF), film preservation, open source support, special events, screenings, and the annual Annie Awards.
