Four feature-length films make up this year’s official selection: ‘La Montagne Magique,’ (‘The Magic Mountain’), ‘Pos Eso’ (‘Possessed’), ‘Adama,’ and ‘Over The Garden Wall.’

Highlights at OIAF 2015 include ‘World of Tomorrow’ by Don Hertzfeldt, ‘Ernie Biscuit’ by Adam Elliot, ‘Sonámbulo’ from Theodore Ushev, ‘Waves ’98’ by Ely Dagher, ‘The Simpsons’ Couch Gag and Stromae’s ‘Carmen’ by Sylvain Chomet, and ‘A Single Life’ by the Dutch trio Job, Joris & Marieke.

The 2014 Grand Prize for Best Animated Feature is given to ‘Seth’s Dominion’ by Luc Chamberland at the Ottawa International Animation Festival; ‘Hipopotamy’ by Piotr Dumala wins the Nelvana 2014 Grand Prize for Best Short Animation.

Posters promoting this year’s Ottawa International Animation Festival feature a character nicknamed Roger Mortis, an empty-headed body that gets dragged around on various adventures by its rebellious brain. 

Seventeen NFB films are selected to this year’s festival, including documentaries on Norman McLaren and Canadian cartoonist Seth. 

Proposals for projects aimed at children age 6–12 are now being accepted for the PITCH THIS! sessions at The Animation Conference (TAC) during The Ottawa International Animation Festival.

The Ottawa International Animation Festival announces the finalists for the competition of Short Films for Kids and Series for Kids at this year’s festival, running September 17-21.
