New York, NY -- ShootersNYC has gone Hollywood adding a key weapon to its creative arsenal with DIVE, the Philadelphia-based visual effects division of ShootersINC known for their high-end work on numerous feature films such as The Road, I Am Number Four, Safe, The Last Airbender, Chernobyl Diaries, and the upcoming feature Silver Linings Playbook, starring Robert DeNiro and Bradley Cooper.

Mark O. Forker

"The advertising community is constantly looking to partner with companies that can bring something distinctive to their projects," Jeff Beckerman, ShootersNYC Managing Director/Executive Producer says. "For an agency producer or a creative team to have artists like Mark O. Forker or Ed Mendez in their corner -- with a collective resume representing some of the biggest visual effects films in history -- is a game-changer."

Led by Visual Effects Supervisor/Creative Director Mark O. Forker, Forker spent 13 years at the Los Angeles-based visual effects house Digital Domain (the last eight as Visual Effects Supervisor). There he worked on visual effects for Academy Award-winning films such as James Cameron's Titanic; Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings; Ron Howard's Apollo 13; and Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, to name just a few.

Visual Effects Supervisor Ed Mendez joined DIVE following several years at the LA-based CafeFX where he worked on such blockbusters as Spider-Man 3, The Matrix Revolutions, Sin City and King Kong. He also won a Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Mini-Series for his work on HBO's John Adams.

Some of DIVE's recent visual effects work can be seen in the Jason Statham action movie Safe, as well as this summer's horror thriller Chernobyl Diaries from Oren Peli, creator of the Paranormal Activity franchise. Their work on the critically acclaimed film The Road led to a VES Award nomination in 2010.

"One look at today's advertising and it's clear that agencies demand a complex visual look," Forker says.

"Viewers are savvy, which is why DIVE's specialization for doing 'invisible' visual effects means we are perfect for the New York ad market."

Forker adds, "DIVE has earned a reputation in Hollywood as one of the premiere visual effects studios on the East Coast. We have the talent and technology to handle creative at the highest level. It's a natural next step for us to expand into the advertising market."
