Animafrik is an animation festival dedicated to African animation and designed to promote African art and animation. Events include film screenings, an art exhibition, animation workshops and panel discussion: "Prospect and Challenges of the Animation Industry in West Africa."

The festival will be held in Accra and regional screenings in the coastal city of Cape Coast, Takoradi and Kumasi, the Ashanti Kingdom. Regional screenings will continue throughout the month of October.

Anime Supercon (ASC) is now Animation Supercon, as it returns for a 4th year to an all new, bigger & better location; the Doubletree Miami Airport Hotel and Convention Center. Animation Supercon will replace Anime Supercon as the shows focus shifts to encompass the entire animation world, and not just Japanese anime. Set for October 2-4, Animation Supercon is a three day festival and convention dedicated to Animation, Cartoons, Anime, Comic Books and Video Games.

The Jamaica Digital Arts Festival was formed to create a new opportunity to unleash and showcase some of the nation's productive energy and to develop a critical mass across all social divides to push this creativity for societal benefit. As part of the Bryant Park Word-for-Word author series, key figures from the world of comics and graphic novels will speak at “COMICS: FROM EVERY ANGLE,” a freewheeling discussion of the past, present, and future of sequential art.

The Ink Well is a group of New York animators, illustrators, and cartoon artists who draw with children facing illness in hospitals and other health care centers.

The Ink Well is on the hunt for some new volunteers so this Monday the 17th we're headed for a little food, drinks and fun on the outdoor patio of The Mad Hatter. All artists with a professional background in the arts are welcome. We'll be on the outdoor patio, ask for The Ink Well party.

Seoul International Cartoon & Animation Festival (SICAF) is calling for entries. The fesvial is one of the acknowledged international animation festivals in Asia, accredited by ASIFA International. This year, SICAF is celebrating its 13th edition, with more than 1,500 expected entries from Asia, Europe, the Americas and beyond.
